Family of George Von Tobel

George Von Tobel was the youngest child of Ed Von Tobel Sr. the namesake to Ed Von Tobel Middle School. Ed Von Tobel came to Las Vegas in May of 1905 at the birth of our wonderful city and maintained a pivotal role in the community with his business, Ed Von Tobel Lumber Company for many years as Las Vegas began and continued to grow.

Among many other accomplishments in life, George Von Tobel stepped forward to help the students of Ed Von Tobel Middle School in order to share his love for and dedication to the importance of education. He had always held the belief that there is true value in continuing ones education beyond High School. This is why he started the George W. Von Tobel Scholarship Fund to motivate and elevate the lives of the students that attended Ed Von Tobel Middle School once they graduated High School and were ready to further their education.

George valued the students of EVTMS and we, his family wish to continue his legacy of motivating and challenging them to continue on with their future education.
