In Memory of Tobi Mishel
Tobias was born on May 5, 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden when his mom and sister were visiting his grandparents. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Bonanza High School before he completed two years of college, both in Las Vegas and in Orange County, California. Tobi was affectionate, sensitive, and a very caring person. He was full of love and energy, and enjoyed making other people laugh.
Music was a big part of Tobias’s life. He was a beat maker, a lyricist and a real artist. From the time Tobi was two years old and received a toy xylophone for his birthday, he did not stop playing music. Tobias learned to play the drums as early as three years old, continued with the piano and organ, and learned to play guitar and bass. He wrote melodies, music and lyrics, and was an extremely talented young man. Passionate about music, he was inspired by all types of artists, including The Beatles, Bob Marley, Metallica, The Beach Boys and everything in between!
Tobias was a victim of depression, an illness that is not commonly recognized, treated correctly, and sometimes not even taken seriously. In this struggle, Tobias took his own life on October 27, 2008.
Tobi was a best friend, a loving son, and a sweet brother. Tobias’s strong hugs, his smiling face, and his happy laugh will live on, and he will forever be in our hearts.
