Tutors Across America/Ryan Fitzgibbons
Ryan Fitzgibbons, Founder of Tutors Across America, was a terrible high school student. However, he was a good test-taker, earning a perfect SAT score, a 99th percentile ACT score and joining the Mensa High IQ Society. He wanted to give back to other high school students in his situation.
“Smart slackers,” he calls them. Kids with a lot of potential, but due to ADD, boredom, challenging life circumstances, laziness, or a combination of all the above, don’t have stellar GPAs. The “There’s Still Hope!” scholarship awards $1,000 to a student with below a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and the best ACT score. So if your grades are lousy but you rocked the ACT, apply today!
