Spring Valley High School - Service to the Community Award
Spring Valley High School seniors living in Clark County, Nevada who have given selflessly to the Las Vegas community through community service and/or advocacy (minimum 150 hours) may apply for this scholarship. An essay is required. A minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA is required. Please provide proof of community service/advocacy hours served. Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary institution either full-time or part-time. One scholarship in the amount of $500 for one year will be awarded to one SVHS student.
Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before a check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
