Israel Ramirez Memorial Scholarship

Spring Valley High School seniors living in Clark County, Nevada, who are in at least their 2nd year at Spring Valley are invited to apply. The ideal candidate embodies Israel’s motto “Graduation is the Goal” and has made great strides in improvement in their high school career.

Students who apply for this scholarship should be able to explain in an essay (limited to 500 words) how a staff member has inspired them to improve their academic progress, attendance, and school engagement while at Spring Valley High School. A GPA of 2.0-3.0 unweighted is required. Applicants must plan to attend a post-secondary institution either full-time or part-time. One scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one SVHS student.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before a check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
