SWCTA Design Academy Scholarship
Southwest Career and Technical Academy (SWCTA) Clark County, Nevada, Design Academy graduating seniors who meet the requirements for the Design Academy Medallion as listed in the Design Academy course expectations and student handbook may apply for this scholarship. Student must demonstrate honor and integrity by having no discipline record. Student must have an unweighted GPA of 2.75 or higher and no more than three absences and three tardies each semester. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded and student must use their award by February 1, 2024.
If a student who applies has more than three absences in a semester due to extenuating circumstances, he or she may submit an explanation as part of the application. Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before a check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses.

- In an essay of 250-300 words, please answer ONE of the following questions: 1.) What have you learned in your program area and how do you plan to use these skills for your future and post-secondary education? 2.) How will your program area of study contribute to your immediate or long-range career plans? 3.) Explain the importance of your program area of study in today's society. 4.) What are the most important issues your program area's industry faces today?
