Children's Service Guild of Southern Nevada Scholarship

High school seniors in Clark County, Nevada, who have overcome personal challenge(s) and have been touched by the Family Court System may apply for this scholarship (Department of Family Services and Department of Juvenile Justice Services). Applicants must plan to attend college or trade school upon graduation from a public or private high school, have at least a 2.0 unweighted GPA. Finalists may be interviewed. Two letters of recommendation are needed – one from a non-family member and one from someone involved with the family and juvenile services. Six scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each will be offered.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before a check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
