Cox and The Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club Diversity Scholarship

Seniors of Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander descent with a 2.5 or higher GPA planning to attend an accredited college or university full-time may apply for this scholarship. Student may be a senior at a charter, private, or CCSD Nevada high school and must demonstrate leadership and community service. One scholarship in the amount of $3,500 each will be offered. Students may apply for multiple Cox Diversity scholarships, but may only be awarded/receive one.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.

  2. Essay - Please write a brief essay (450-500 words) about a significant Asian leader in the Southern Nevada community.
  3. Please upload a letter of recommendation that reflects on your leadership qualities and abilities.
  4. Please upload one letter of recommendation from a person outside the school community such as a pastor or religious teacher, an employer, or a supervisor in a business or volunteer endeavor. (Must not be a relative or peer.)
