NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) UNLV Construction Major Scholarship
Females who are pursuing a degree in one of the following programs: Construction Management, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Architecture, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering or Architecture at the UNLV College of Fine Arts may apply for this scholarship. The student must possess the minimum requirements for ranking as a junior in the upcoming fall semester within her chosen degree program (at least sixty credit hours completed by the end of spring semester.) One scholarship in the amount of $2,000 per school year for 2 school years will be awarded. This award is paid by semester. The recipient must maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA per semester in order to receive the scholarship award for the next semester. The recipient must submit their transcript and class schedule for the upcoming semester.
Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed by semester.
