NV Energy Powerful Partnership Scholarships

High school seniors who are U.S. citizens, living and attending high school in Clark County, Nevada may apply for these scholarships. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (weighted) and be involved in community service and volunteerism. Students must plan to pursue post-secondary education as a full-time student at a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institution in Nevada. NSHE institutions include: CSN, Great Basin College, Nevada State College, Truckee Meadows Community College, UNLV, UNR, and Western Nevada College. Dependents of employees or officers of NV Energy are not eligible to apply. NV Energy offers up to 56 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to CCSD high schools as well as the categories of local charter, local private and CCSD accredited online/virtual schools. NV Energy reserves the right to determine the number of awards selected.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
