NV Energy Dependent Scholarship

High school seniors who are dependents of a current Southern Nevada NV Energy employee may apply for these scholarships. Employee must be student’s parent or legal guardian. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (weighted) and be involved in community service and volunteerism. Students must plan to pursue post-secondary education as a full-time student at a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institution in Nevada. NSHE institutions include: CSN, Great Basin College, Nevada State College, Truckee Meadows Community College, UNLV, UNR, and Western Nevada College. NV Energy offers up to three scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. NV Energy reserves the right to determine the number of awards selected.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
