Professional Firefighters of Nevada Scholarship

Children of Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada (PFFN) who are seniors in high school or current college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship must be planning to enroll in and attend college the upcoming Fall Term. The PFFN parent/guardian must participate in the PFFN license plate program. The applicant must fill out the PFFN application completely to be considered for the scholarship and must show proof of PFFN license plate participation. Proof of license plate participation will include current vehicle registration showing parent name. Verification with the DMV for participation in the PFFN license plate program will be checked prior to award of scholarship. Sixteen scholarships will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 – $3,000. (One at $3,000, one at $2,500, one at $2,000, one at $1,500, seven at $1,000 and five at $1,000 for returning college students).

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before funds are mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.
